Medjugorje

Medjugorje Village has become a miraculous shrine visited by millions of believers a year ever since the first apparition of Virgin Mary in 1981.

In the summer of 1981, the six visionaries – Vicka Ivankovic, Mirjana Dragicevic, Marija Pavlovic and Ivan Dragicevic, all 16, Ivanka Ivankovic, 15, and ten-year-old Jakov Colo – burst through the doors of the parish church and told the priest they had seen the Virgin Mary while playing on a nearby hill.

Beautiful, peaceful, miraculous apparition of a woman dressed in a long white dress with a veil gave them a message and kept on reappearing ever since.

With her she brought messages of love and peace, state of harmony, healing and strength.

Now, believers from all over the world come to pray and heal in Medjugorje. They visit the St. James’ Church, kneel and pray to the Blessed Virgin Mary, visit the Apparition Hill or the Krizevac Hill with the Cross dedicated to Jesus Christ with relics given by the Rome embedded in it.

Medjugorje is a Catholic Pilgrimage and yet attracts people of different nationalities and beliefs where they all come to soak in peace and the healing energy.
